Stairway To Heaven, Kat's fan fiction

This is the first fic I've done on my own. I hope you will like it Please note this is set When Daniel Agger joined Liverpool in January 2006.

Stairway To Heaven

I packed the last piece of clothing in my suitcase doing a last minute check around my apartment. This is it no more living in London. Getting hold of my luggage, I turned the lights off and went out.

I arrived at the airport in a blink of a eye. My flight was about to start and I quickly ran into the plane. I got a call on my mobile just after I settled in my seat. I smiled at the name that showed up on my phone. Alex.

"Hi, Alex!"
"Hey Kat, when ar- No, honey don't enter the kicthen! Those girls drive me mad... I wanted to ask you when is your plane arriving?"

"It will land in about a hour so at 6pm. You're coming to pick me up right?"

"Sure Stevie and I- Stevie, get her out of the kicthen! She's your child too! Yes we're coming to pick you up. And you're staying with us until you find a place of your own, understand?"

"Ah Alex, how could I say no to your charm? Oh, I have to hang up now, the trip is starting!"

"Okay Kat, have a nice trip" That was the last thing I heard before I went out of signal. Well, that and Stevie! Why is she still in the kichten?

I walked out of the plane into the busy airport looking for my friends. They are impossbile to miss I thought to myself. Stevie was standing with his arm around Alex's shoulder with a big smile on his face while Alex waved at me.

I should probably say how I met those two. Couple of years ago, I was in Liverpool I got lost I had to ask someone for directions to my hotel. From all the people, I decided to ask them, that's how this friendship started.

I walked over to them and they both hugged me tightly.

"I can't breathe" I gasped out.

They finally let go of me and Stevie took my luggage in his hands as we walked out and went into the car.

We got to their house a couple of hours ago and I was trying to settle in the quest room. Alex was talking to me about what life would be like now that I moved to Liverpool.

"Are you hungry?" She asked.

"No, I'm fine thanks. I ate on the plane"

"Okay, I am going to leave you now. You should get some sleep, Stevie's got a surprise for you. You have to get up at eight"

"Goodnight Alex"

"Get up, get up, get up" Stevie yelled in my ear.

"In a minute!"

"Come on or I will start jumping on your bed!"
"Jesus..."

I finally walked out of bed and went to the bathroom.

"You have thirty minutes to get dressed and we're leaving!" He yelled through the closed door and I heard him walk out of the room.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see"

"Can I at least open my eyes?"

"No"

The car stopped after some time and Stevie said "Open your eyes now!"

I gasped... Melwood.

"Wh-What are we doing here?"

"I have training and you have to meet all the lads"

"You're kidding?"

"No."

I hugged him so hard it squeezed air out of his lungs.

We walked in together. Stevie's hand was over my shoulder preventing me to fall to the ground from pure excitment.

"Lads, listen up" he yelled from the middle of the field. Everybody turned to us, so he continued. "I'd like you all to meet my friend Katie. She is from London but she is a massive Liverpool fan and she's 20 years old. She moved to Liverpool be closer to her team but also to study Spanish at the college here." I waved shyly to everyone has my cheeks turned red to match the colour of Pepe's shirt.

One by one, players walked over to say hello. I almost fainted while handshaking with them.

"Oi, lass! Nice to meet you" Carra said along with Riise who looked like one of the Weasley twins.

"Hold me up!" I whispered to Stevie's ear. He just chuckled and encouraged me to meet my idols.

Stevie lead me around the training ground introducing me to all the players.

"I'd like you to meet this lad" Said Stevie poiting at a tall freckled man. "That's-" "Daniel Agger, our new defender" I jumped in.

"Danny, get over here!" Stevie yelled. That man sure yells a lot.

Daniel walked over to us Stevie continued.

"I'm sure you heard what's her name so I'm going to leave you two alone"

"S-S-Stevie, where are you going?" I muttered out, but he already left.

"Um, it's nice to meet you Katie. Stevie can't shut up about you"

"Nice to meet you too Daniel"

"Please, call me Danny or Dan." He said with a small smile on his face.

I smiled myself as we started talking.

"I heard you play football. What position?"

"Oh, I play as a striker"

"It's really refreshing to meet a girl that enjoys football, you know. Most girls are only looking at players.

"I agree. I know a bunch like that."

"You know what, let's make a deal. Let's play one on one, just the two of us. If you lose, you're buying me a drink.

"And if I win?"

"I doubt that will happen, but if you win I'm taking you out on a dinner"

"It's a deal"

"I still can't believe you won" Dan stated.

"Neither can I!" I squealed happily.

We were having dinner in some restraunt. Daniel started a conversation again.

"So, where are you from?"
"I am from Fulham which is in the south west of London but my dad is from Chester which is not far from here. I already know where you are from so I'm going to ask you what kind of music do you listen too?"

Daniel chuckled and said "Rap and R&B. Stevie said you liked Rock music? I like to listen to that too"

The subjects came one after another. It was really pleasant just sitting there talking to Daniel.

"Guys, I'm moving out. I found an apartment of my own that's really close to the college. I'd like to thank you for taking me in these days." I said to Alex and Stevie.

"I'm glad we could help." Alex said with a bright smile. "When are you moving?"

"Tomorrow, I'm already packed, but it's late now and I'm really tired"

"Yes, she was on a date" Stevie mocked wiggling his eyebrows.

"That wat not a date! We had a deal and he lost!"

"So he took you out on a date"

"Stevie! We just met!"

"All couples start as a strangers."

"You're like a five year old kid. But I think a five year old is more mature than you are"

"And you couldn't love me more"

I am glad was my first try but I'm pleased with it I've got ideas for it I'll probably do the second part over the weekend

Part 2

I was at the working table doing my homework. My phone beeped informing me I got a new message.

Is the deal for tonight still on?

I smiled at the text and simply replied to him.

Sure Danny. See you later

Putting the phone down I turned my attention back to my homework.

“Oooh, another date! Is that like your sixth?” Stevie teased.
“Shut up Stevie, its not date!”
“Two people going out for dinners, a drink walks… sounds like a date to me”
“That’s because you’re an idiot”
“You’re dating a man and you don’t even realise it. That’s right I’m an idiot.”
“We are NOT dating. We’re just hanging out like two buddies”
“Buddies, who go out dancing alone, talk to each other for hours ....”
“Shut up okay? Otherwise I’m going to tell Alex you’re misbehaving.

I danced around to some of my 80s tunes waiting for Dan to come and pick me up. I always liked turning my music all the way up and it wasn’t exception now. My neighbours always hated me for that. I sang out loud to the song as the doorbell rang. I moved to open the door inviting Dan to come in.

“Mmm you feeling in an 80’s mood today?”
“Haha I guess so I just felt like playing something electronic”
“Are you ready?”
“Yep. Let’s go”
“Okay. You don’t want to leave Carra waiting”
“Carra? Carra as in Jamie Carragher?”
“Yes, and John as John Arne Riise! Let’s go!”

“Took yer sweet time!” Carra said grumpily to us.
“Leave the kids alone, Carra” John defended.


We were sitting in a crowded pub.
“I’m gonna get something to drink. Do you want something?” Daniel said turning to me.
“Beer would be great, thanks”

I was left with Carra and John. John broke the silence.
“So Katie, why did you decide to come to study here?”
“Well, first of all I’ve been a Liverpool supporter since the day I was born” Both of them grinned at this.
“Second, I’ve always wanted to live here. And third I have family up here on my father’s side”
“You know what lass, I think we’re going to get on very well” Carra said with a grin still on his face.
“What did I miss?” Said Daniel as he returned with two beers in his hand and found us all smiling like a couple of nutcases, as Stevie would say.
“Nothing big. Carra just said that we could be great mates” John stated calmly.
The discussions lead on and on. It ended with us arguing about food.

“Tell me about your date!” whined Stevie.
He would usually yell, but he couldn’t now.
We were at Melwood. I became sort of a regular person at Liverpool’s training sessions, not that I minded. And apparently neither did the lads.

“Hey kiddo, how’s college going?” John walked over.
“Great! I am doing well in Spanish!” I squealed happily.
“Smart arse are we?” Finns jumped in.
“Actually, yes, I didn’t get to Liverpool using my pretty face only, you know!”
The ground broke into laughter at that.

I walked out of the training ground with Daniel and went to his blue Volkswagen Golf. We talked all the time during the ride home. We finally arrived at my apartment and Daniel walked me to the door.
Suddenly he said “Um, Kat, can I ask you something?”
“Yes, of course you can”
“Could we… umm ... would you, would you go out with me, for like a real date?” His cheeks turned bright red as he asked.
“I’d love to, Danny” I said with a smile on my face.
“Great” He said smiling to himself.

He quickly ducked down and pecked me on my cheek softly and walked away still smiling like a dork. I entered my apartment and leaned against the wall. I was so happy and couldn’t wait for our date.

Only think I hated is the questioning that I knew would come from a certain Mr. Gerrard.

Part 3

“Told you so, told you so, and told you soooo…!” Stevie sang happily while doing that he describes as a ‘victory dance’. “Say it!”
“Say what?” I batted my lashes innocently.
“You know what I want to hear!”
“Youerrght”
“What was that?”
“You were r-r-right”
“Yes, yes, yes, yes! So, tell me, what are you two going to do?” He sounded like a teenage girl.
“We are going for a walk. I still didn’t check the city out so Daniel will show me around”
“Oooh… will you two hold hands?”
“Please stop”
“Never”

I was getting ready for the big date dancing and singing around like usual. Just as I finished dressing the doorbell rang.
“I’m starting to like your music” Daniel smiled and joined my dance.
“You’re ready to go?”
I nodded happily as we walked out.

We were talking for some time now. Danny’s arm was tightly wrapped around my waist all the time. We talked and laughed with ice creams in our hands. I didn’t even notice that we climbed on some hill. It was beautiful. In the middle there was a huge tree with a branch behind it. It was dark with only the moon and stars slightly lighting it.

“And this is my favourite place in the whole of Liverpool” Danny said sweetly.
“It’s beautiful”

We cuddled up the beach and began talking.
“Tell me more about you” He said.
“Okay. You might find this weird but I’m still a virgin” I said shyly.
He just smiled “Actually, I think it’s inspiring”
I smiled back and Danny ducked a bit and kissed me softly.
The kiss was so sweet. I just let go and melted into him.

“They are dating?!”
“Yes, Pepe they are dating” Stevie answered calmly.
“Since when?” Carra jumped in.
“They are official since Saturday which makes it four days”
“Where are they anyways?”
“I saw them hanging around the locker room”
“Better if they don’t get it on anywhere near my stuff!” Carra said jokingly.

We were kissing lazily for at least 15 minutes now.
“Danny… Danny, we should stop…”
“Yeah, we should” But he just moved to kiss my neck.
“Anybody could walk in…” I gasped.
“That makes it hotter”
“Danny…”
“Ugh fine. But you’ll have to make this up to me” He winked at me.
With that we walked out hand in hand

aw thank u Tonio so glad u like it I've been thinking about doing one for a while but I'm pleased with this
haha I quess so I've always liked him since he went to Liverpool but some areshole was there lol
